Motor Rally
 Forest of Dean
A Grand Day Out.
 I’m sure those of you with Children and Grand-children will know that this is the Name of a Wallace and Grommit film. Well the brethren of Gerard Lodge had a Grand day out on their car rally on Sunday May the 16th. Sincere thanks to W. Bro Tony Joiner who organised the whole thing; even remembering to bring ‘the crackers and cheese’. Tony being a ‘Forester’ arranged the trip around some of his old haunts in the Forest of Dean. Everyone agreed the area has some stunning scenery. We all stopped for lunch at The Miners Arms in Whitecroft. On our return we stopped at Tintern Abbey, and then on to Hambrook sports and social club for skittles, and a ploughman’s supper. Some of our party were wearing ‘The wrong trousers’ and those of who got lost had a ‘Close shave’. The day raised a goodly sum for our Worshipful Master’s chosen charity. So it was more ‘wallet and grimace’ than Wallace and Grommit!
